A loving inspiration to her family. She touched the lives of each of her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. A role model of the highest order as a professional and as a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. A best friend and travel buddy with a wonderful zest for life experiences. Pat was fun loving, adventurous, and thoroughly enjoyed all kinds of music, fine dining, the cultural arts, a good glass of wine, books, movies, and numerous competitive card games with her friends and loved ones.
Pat was a Registered Nurse and Certified Case Manager (CCM), providing care in multiple Pittsburgh hospitals and advancing to Director of Nursing at Riverview Center for Jewish Seniors (Charles Morris Center) and Willis Nursing Center. She retired from Highmark, where she advised and advocated for seniors, to care for her daughter Shauna while she was in hospice. Later she worked as a school nurse in an inner-city charter school, where she helped at risk kids until she finally retired at age 80. She was an amazing role model and a mentor to many medical professionals throughout her sixty-year professional career.
