Age 96, of Bethel Park, formerly of Carrick, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2023.
Beloved wife of the late James Gallagher; loving mother of Ann Franczak (Bob), David Gallagher (Vivian), Daniel Gallagher (MaryAnn), and Janet Lippert (Dan). Proud grandmother of David (Amy), Caitlin Arthur (Dan), Dan Lippert (Lauren), Zack Lippert (Lynn), Ashley, Maura, Shannon, Justin and Trevor. Great-Grandmother of Mason, Harrison, Rachel, Grant, Kaidus, Sophie, Penny, Tanner, Juliet, and another baby due later this year. Aunt to many wonderful nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Mercedes, brothers Daniel (Jane) and Regis (Marie), and sisters Bernadette and Anna Marie Zager (survived by Samuel Zager).
Alice was a devout Catholic and member of St. Basil Parish for 63 years. What really defined Alice was her devotion to God, family, friends and neighbors. She was loving and kind and constantly helping anyone in need. She always made time for anyone who asked for help.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-8 pm at Boron Funeral Home, Inc., 1719 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:30 pm Friday in Blessed Trinity Parish at St. Basil Church followed by internment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alice may be made to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
