Age 95, born Jan.11 1926, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Jan. 22, 2021, of Robinson Township, formerly of Carrick. Son of the late Frank Joseph and Christina M. (Baurle) Snyder. Husband to the late Roberta (Behanna) Snyder. Loving father to Howard (Jacquie) Snyder. Proud Pap-Pap to Valerie Snyder and Andrea (Craig) Santella. Proud Great Pap-Pap to Geno and William Santella. Brother of the late Clara Siefert, Francis William Snyder, Dorothy Lieb, Lawrence Snyder, and Paul “Sonny” Snyder. Beloved Uncle of many Nieces and Nephews. He grew up on the South Side and attended St Michael's and South High. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and served in the Normandy D-Day invasion. He is a 53 year member of the IBEW Local 5. He also worked 17 years at Heinz Field and PNC Park, finally retiring at the age of 91. He was active in the West End Senior Center and a member of the VFW 418 in McKees Rocks. Viewing will be held at Boron Funeral Home, Inc., 1719 Brownsville Rd on Tuesday Jan. 26 from 2-8pm for family and close friends. Due to current Covid concerns, masks and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to. Prayers on Wednesday at 10 AM. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Basil Church at 10:30 AM. A Celebration of his life will be held at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul of the Cross Monastery 148 Monastery Ave Pgh PA 15203.
