Anthony “Tony” Joseph Ciraula Jr.
Age 89 of Fort Collins, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023. Born on January 9, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA to Anthony Joseph Ciraula and Mary Kelly, he was one of six children and attended school at St. Canice Grade School in Pittsburgh, PA (Knoxville Neighborhood) and graduated from St. Vincent Latrobe High School in Latrobe, PA. On August 28, 1954, he married Ruth Arnold at St. George Parish in Pittsburgh, PA.
He began doing odd jobs at local appliance shops and worked up to owning an appliance repair business. When Tony wasn’t spending time repairing appliances, he loved spending time with his dogs, attending to house plants, gardening and exploring oil painting. Tony loved his dogs so much he trained them to pick up litter to the point where it earned them a spot with the local news station.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents and wife of 65 years, Ruth. He is survived by his children: Gregory (Marylu), Donna, Michael (Donna), and John (Jean); grandchildren Christopher, Jeffrey, Andrew, Daniel, Nathan, Stephanie, and Matthew; great-grandchild Killian Ciraula; siblings, Mary and Joseph Ciraula.
On Friday, March 3, 2023, there will be a viewing starting at 10:45AM, a Rosary starting at 11:00AM, and a Mass of Christian Burial starting at 11:30AM, all at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 5450 S. Lemay Ave, Ft. Collins, CO 80525.
On Saturday, March 18, 2023, there will be a Funeral Mass starting at 10:30AM at Saint Basil Church of Blessed Trinity Parish, 1735 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15210, followed by a committal service at St. John Vianney Cemetery, 920 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15210.
