Thomas J. Hayes, age 84 on Saturday September 3, 2016 of Pleasant Hills formerly of Carrick.

Beloved husband of Maryann C. (Herman) Hayes.

Father of& Thomas (Mary) Hayes, Luann (Glenn) Newton, Jeff (Christie) Hayes, Terry Hayes Mangan, Beth Ann Hayes Currin, Connie (Dave) Kinney, Kathy (L.D.) Saunders, Maryann (Chester) Beattie, Robert (Laura) Hayes and Joann (Jim) Palashoff.

Also survived by 22 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.

Friends received Sunday 6-8 PM and Monday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Readshaw Funeral Home, Inc. 1503 Brownsville Road, Carrick.

Funeral Prayer Tuesday at 10:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Holy Apostles Parish, St. Basil Church.

Interment South Side Cemetery.

Tom was a Scout Master with Troop #224 for over 40 years, received the Silver Beaver Award April of 1985 and September 3, 1998 was Declared to be "Thomas J. Hayes Day" in Allegheny County. Tom was also Santa for over 35 years at Meder's Nursery.
