Obituary

Sandra Lynn Holmes, (Sandy), after battling several health issues, died on Thursday, May 9, 2024. At the time, she was 70 years old.

For 50 years, she was the cherished wife of John Holmes. She was loved by her children, Heather (and Jon) Theis, Lindsay Holmes, and Matthew (and Lindsay) Holmes. She had four grandchildren whom she adored; Jack and Avonlea Theis, and Oliver and Keira Holmes. She is also survived by her brother, Mark Wazenegger, and his family, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides these, she was blessed with a huge, loving spiritual family.

Sandy was an avid crafter and enjoyed sewing. Her favorite vacations were at the ocean and Disney World, but always with family. Most of all, she loved her God, Jehovah. She dedicated her life to him on January 17, 1970, and for the next 54 years, helped people to appreciate the hope that the Bible gave her, of realizing life on earth, in peace and perfection. It was a hope she shared with others up to a week before her death. She was also privileged to have a beautiful spiritual heritage that covers over 100 years, and six generations through her grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses; 325 Lowenhill Street, Pittsburgh PA& 15226.
