Rosemary Honan Gorecki

November 7, 1938 - September 30 , 2026

Rosemary Honan Gorecki, 87, of Carrick in Pittsburgh PA, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of faith, Rosemary touched countless lives through her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family, church, and community.

Born on November 7, 1938, Rosemary was fhe beloved daughter of the late John and Irene Honan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Gorecki, with whom she shared a loving marriage and built a beautiful family.

Rosemary is survived by her siblings: Eileen Bullister (Joseph), Jack Honan (Peggy), and Mike Honan (Janine)

She was the loving mother of Ron Gorecki (Sue), Maureen Zgorzeliski, Sean Gorecki (Shannon), and Tom Gorecki (Keline).

Rosemary was a proud and devoted grandmother to Amanda West (Dan), Dan Reese, Benjamin

Reese (Crystal), Tim Zgorzeliski Jr., Meghan DeWalt (Jeff), Sara Smith (Dan), Ron Gorecki (Elizabeth), Anna Gorecki, Sloan Gorecki, and Cruz Gorecki. She was also blessed with several greatgrandchildren, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Rosemary dedicated much of her professional life to serving children as a teacher's aide with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU). She found great joy in helping young people learn and grow, and her caring influence was felt by countless students and families throughout her career.

Her commitment to children extended beyond her profession through her active membership at St. Basil Parish, where she faithfully taught CCP for more than 40 years. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she shared it generously with generations of parish families.

Guided by her faith and compassion, Rosemary lived a life devoted to others. She believed there was goodness in every person and treated everyone she met with grace, patience, and respect. Her loving spirit and selfless generosity left an endurin mark on her family, friends, students, and parish community.

Above all, Rosemary treasured her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose legacy of faith, love, service, and compassion will continue to inspire generations to come. Though she will be deeply missed, the countless lives she touched stand as a testament to a life well lived.

May she rest in eternal peace.
