With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald George Young Jr., affectionately known as "Ronnie," who left us on July 18, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on April 14, 1976, in Pittsburgh, PA, Ronnie touched the lives of many through his warmth, kindness, and unwavering work ethic.

Ronnie will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Mary Young; his cherished mother, Charlene Presken and his stepfather Jay Presken; his beloved son, Justin Dean; and his caring sister, Theresa Young. He is also survived by his treasured nieces, Akela Young and Dystany Young, and his nephew, Davon Young. Ronnie was preceded in death by his best friend, Richie Bofo, a bond that brought great joy to both their lives and will be forever cherished.

As a talented carpenter in the construction industry, Ronnie was known for his dedication and craftsmanship. His passion for his work was matched only by his love for the great outdoors, particularly the memories created at Ohiopyle State Park, where he found peace and joy in nature. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he exemplified the spirit of community and kindness.

In celebration of his life, friends and family are invited to gather for a public viewing at Readshaw Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at South Side Cemetery.

Ronnie's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace, embraced by the love he shared with so many.
