IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald C
"Ronnie" Menzel
December 27, 1934 – April 7, 2024
Ronald C. Menzel, age 89, of Carrick, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.&
Son of the late Madeline (Volzer) Menzel.
Loving husband of 64 years to the late Barbara A. (Bova) Menzel.
Loving father of Rhonda (Jim) Fajerski, Christine (Gary) Gallis, and Michelle (Jim) Kaczorowski.
Cherished grandfather of Joe (Hallie) and Sam Fajerski, Drew, Evan, and Megan Gallis, and James (Stephanie), Tom (Juliana) and Kasey Kaczorowski (fiancé Jon Shar).
Proud great grandfather of Norah, Jacob, and Rosalie Kaczorowski.
Brother of the late Lois (the late Paul) Schemm.
Ronnie lived with the vision of building comfort and stability in his life. He took great pride in his relationship with Barbara and his daughters and loved watching the dynamics of a growing family. Almost every holiday gathering was highlighted by a ripple-chinned Ronnie raising a glass to toast the love that surrounded him. Ronnie didn't just live….Ronnie was alive.
Ronnie's relationships extended beyond the family through the Tire Shop that bears his name. From humble beginnings, the Shop became a Boulevard landmark. The work of him and his crew was honest and proud, and nearly every outgoing call began with, "Hello…This is Ronnie from down the shop…" Whether professional or social, Ronnie's friendships are centered on a connection of trust and giving. Bringing out the best in others always brought out the best in Ronnie as well.
Ronnie was fond of working with his hands and often gave tools as gifts. Although he wouldn't tell you how to use the tools, he was always quick to "…make a suggestion." We will always remember Ronnie's wonderful suggestions and the ways that his character shaped our lives.
