Rita Mae (Urbaniak) Carpenter
Age 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2022. Rita grew up on the Southside Slopes and settled in Carrick for the past 60 years. She was the beloved Wife of the late Richard Carpenter. Big Sister of the late John Urbaniak and Marian Steele. Rita is survived by her three children; Gary, who made it his mission to take care of mom in the family home after dad died, and daughters Lora (Randy) Medwid and Aimee (Mark) McMahon who lovingly shared in mom's care. Rita was never happier than when she had a baby or child in her arms, so grandchildren Valery Jeffries, Joe Medwid, Chelsea Newcomer, and Kayley McMahon and Great Grandchildren Haley Medwid, Cohen and Luke Jeffries, and Mac and Callan Newcomer brought her much joy. Rita is also survived by sister Rose Thomas (Dave), who she talked to every night at 8 pm and Robert Urbaniak. Visitation Thursday 1-4 & 6-8 PM at the Boron Funeral Home Inc . 1719 Brownsville Road. Funeral Prayers on Friday at 10 AM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Basil Church of Blessed Trinity Parish at 10:30 AM.
