Obituary

Phillip Larkins, a cherished soul known for his unwavering kindness and genuine love for those around him, passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on August 6, 1971, in Pittsburgh, PA, Phillip grew up in a close-knit family and carried the values of love and community throughout his life. He departed this world in Weirton, WV, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and generosity.

Phillip was the beloved son of the late George and Margaret "Peggy" (Sekura) Larkins, who instilled in him the importance of family and service to others. He was a treasured friend to Barbara Pitschman, with whom he shared many of life's joys and challenges. As a devoted brother to Melissa, George, and Patrick Larkins, Phillip's bond with his siblings was unbreakable. His love and humor will be deeply missed by his nephews Tyler, Triston, Cameron, and Mason, as well as his great-nephew and great-niece Jaxon and Arya. His extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends will remember Phillip as a beacon of light who brought people together.

Phillip's professional life was marked by a nine-year tenure at Novelty Plus, where he was not just an employee but a part of a community. He was known for his dedication and the positive attitude he brought to work every day. Beyond his professional endeavors, Phillip will be remembered for his selflessness and his regular acts of kindness, such as taking his elderly neighbors shopping and always being there for anyone in need. To Phillip, the most fulfilling part of life was simply loving people, and this love was felt by all who had the privilege to know him.

An avid weightlifter, Phillip found joy and solace in the discipline of the sport. His dedication to weightlifting was more than a hobby; it was a testament to his belief in the strength of the human spirit. Through his interests, Phillip inspired others to pursue their passions with the same vigor and commitment he demonstrated in every lift.

Phillip Larkins lived a life marked by an unwavering commitment to others, and his impact will continue to be felt by those who were blessed to encounter his kindness. His laughter, his compassionate nature, and his ability to make each person feel significant are the hallmarks of his memory. Phillip's life was a lesson in love, and his story is one of a man who gave freely of himself to ensure the happiness of others.

As we say goodbye to Phillip, we celebrate the time we shared with a man of great character and warmth. We will hold onto the memories, the laughter, and the love, knowing that his spirit lives on in the lives he touched. Phillip's journey on this earth may have ended, but the ripple effect of his kindness will continue to spread far and wide.

Phillip Larkins will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, generosity, and strength will forever be cherished. As we reflect on his life, we are reminded to embrace the values he lived by: to love without hesitation, to help without expectation, and to live with a heart full of joy. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him, and may we honor his life by living ours with the same compassion and zeal that he did every day.
