Obituary

On May 18, 2025, Patricia Tragesser of Carrick was called home to the Lord surrounded by all the love any one person could have.  Pat was "29" years young with a vast list of accomplishments. As a graduate of St. Raphael's HS, she went onto Pgh hospital school of nursing and then in 1985 went back to school to further her education getting certified in EEG technology.  From there she started her career at Mercy Hospital working in their sleep lab. She worked alongside some of the top doctors in this field and eventually with two others, starting the Greater Pittsburgh Sleep Professionals where she became president. She was a member of Toastmasters where she honed her communication skills which enabled her to speak at conferences and major universities all around the country. Pat was never to far from her Irish roots. She became a member of the LAOH Division 11, always supporting Ireland, missions and charities. Even marching in the parade during the historic blizzard of '93. She loved every minute she spent with her Irish family. She loved to knit, crochet, quilt, and embroider, she could do it all. She was an expert seamstress.  Her creations of wedding gowns, christening gowns, even ballet and musical costumes have been worn by many.  She even taught sewing at St. Basils HS where her eldest daughter Claudia was a student at the time. She is survived by her loving husband of 59yrs Larry, her daughters Claudia McGuire, Pam (Michael) Franklin. Grandmother to Elizabeth and James Tipler, Peter (Daniella) Franklin, Patrick Franklin, Thomas Franklin, Grace Franklin. Great Grandmother to Iliana and Devin Riesterer and Michael David Franklin. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and Godchildren and countless friends. She was Preceded in death by James E McGuire, Mother Beatrice Wherry, siblings June Mroz, Mickey Wherry, and Grandson Joseph M Tipler.

A public viewing to honor Patricia's life will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Boron Funeral Home Inc. 1719 Brownsville Road. providing an opportunity for friends and family to come together in remembrance. Funeral Prayers on Friday at 10 AM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Basil Church of Blessed Trinity Parish at 10:30 AM. Interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 10 AM.
