Sister Olive Ann Mcgovern Schneider, C.P. &
Age 79, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Sister of Colleen Barrian, Debbie Moursi, and Mark McGovern. Also survived by the Passionist Nuns Community.She attended college and received a B.A. in teaching in 1967. She worked as a third-grade teacher from 1968 to 1990. In 1969 she married Richard Schneider. They were happily married until Richard's death in 1995. She enjoyed horseback riding, riding a motorcycle, performing mechanical and carpentry types of tasks, drawing, painting, writing, and playing a guitar.She entered St. Gabriel's Monastery in November 21, 2002 in Clarks Summit PA and Professed Vows on August 15, 2005. After the closure of St. Gabriel's Monastery in 2020, she transferred to Our Lady of Sorrows Monastery in Pittsburgh.Visitations on Thursday from 1-5 PM at the Passionist Convent, 2715 Churchview Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial in the Convent Chapel on Friday at 10 AM. Arrangements entrusted to Boron Funeral Home, Inc.
