Obituary

Marion T. (Ehrlich) Reich&

On June 20, 2024, our beloved mom, Marion (Ehrlich) Reich took her last breath and joined John, her husband of 69 years, in Heaven.

Marion was born in Mount Oliver in 1931 to Anthony and Mary Ehrlich. She was predeceased by her siblings Mildred McCullough, Henry, Joseph, Tony and Richard Ehrlich.

She was an amazing mother who raised 7 loving children: Marianne (John) Conley, Linda (the late Edward) Sturm, Joseph Reich, James (Lynda) Reich and Thomas Reich, and the late John (Susan) Reich and late Laura (Joseph) Chiarelli.

She was a graced with 13 grandchildren: Marianne Barnhart, Kathleen (Ben) Schmidt, Patrick Conley, Timothy (Michelle) Sturm, Anthony (Lisa) Chiarelli, Kristine Chiarelli, Joseph (Stephanie) Chiarelli, Jennifer (Logan Carter) Chiarelli, Daniel (Francesca) Chiarelli, James Reich, Matthew (Tiffany) Reich, Nicolas Reich, and Luke (Michaela Monteiro) Reich. She was a proud Gigi to her 17 great grandchildren and will be fondly remembered by her many loving nieces and nephews and cousins.

In her 93 years she led a very active life. Aside from raising her 7 children, she was an advertising acct executive for Kaufmann's Dept store and Monroeville Mall. After retiring, she and dad traveled taking 28 cruises, several casino bus tours, and trips to Las Vegas and Hawaii. She was active at St. Basil's church as a PTG member and running the Poker Table at the carnival for over 40 years. She and dad were presented the "Manifest the Kingdom" award in 2009.

Marion was a longtime member of Blessed Trinity Parish's Christian Mothers and Guild. She enjoyed gathering with friends through cub scouts, bowling league, trivial pursuit club, local bingo clubs, and Mexican Train Domino's.

At the age of 92, after attending and enjoying the Baldwin Women's Club meetings with her daughter Marianne, she became an active member.

She thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings and especially lit up when she spent time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They sure loved their Gigi.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Marty and Gail Snyder, Mike and Linda Russman, Lou Ann Shannon, Dr. John Wisneski and the amazing staff at St Margaret Hospital, and the very caring staff at Advanced Home Health. And a very special thanks to Fr. Zack Galiyas for providing spiritual comfort in her final days. A special thank you to her grandson Pat Conley, who cared for her everyday with so much love.
