Leah G. Hrezo
On Friday, November 4, 2016, of Baldwin, passed away one month after suffering a terrible fall at home and spent the last 4 weeks hospitalized in a coma. She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Norma Wine of Dormont. Leah is survived by her husband of 37 years, Darrell J. Hrezo; her son William Joseph (Renee) of Baldwin; three adoring grandchildren: William Edward, Veronica Elizabeth, Genevieve Josephine and her loving grandog Franco. She is also survived by two sisters: Wendy Dunbar (Mark) of Mt. Lebanon, Nora Dittner (Paul) of Annapolis MD. and a brother, Dr. Jeffery Wine Ph.D. (Marlene) of Palo Alto, CA. and many loving nieces and nephews. Leah worked for 35 years as a special procedures radiology technician as St. Francis Hospital and St. Clair Hospital. She loved doing DIY home projects and repairs. She was an accomplished wallpaper hanger and house painter. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, music, movies and TV, especially NCIS. For the last 4 years, Leah was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Pleasant Hills. She converted to Catholicism after being counseled by her husband's dear cousin, Richard A. Stout of West Mifflin. She loved practicing her faith and was very devout. The Hrezo family would like to thank their friend Rev. Daniel T. Straughn, Pastor at St. Mark's Parish in McKeesport for his comforting visits to Leah and her family while she was hospitalized. The family would also like to thank their many friends and family for their expressions of love, concern and prayers during this difficult time. Visitations Sunday and Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Boron Funeral Home, Inc. 1719 Brownsville Road. Funeral prayers on Tuesday at 9:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10 AM with Rev. Dale DeNinno, Pastor of St. Elizabeth officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, One Grove Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
