Kaitlin M. Hoover

It is with heavy hearts but cherished memories that we celebrate the life of Kaitlin Marie Hoover, who was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on September 28, 2010. Kaitlin's infectious laughter and vibrant spirit brought joy to everyone around her. A beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.

Kaitlin's bright future was abruptly cut short on May 25, 2025, at 14 years old, her memory will forever illuminate the lives she touched. Kaitlin was a source of inspiration for her siblings - Haley, Alix, Camdyn, Brielle, and Jack - and her love will remain etched in their hearts.

Kaitlin is lovingly remembered by her mother, Vanessa Gilpin, her father, Eric Hoover, and her entire network of cherished family members, including her grandparents, Karen and Bill Hoover and Joy and Steve Gilpin; her aunts, Heidi Calhoun, Stephanie Williams, and Kristina Gilpin; her uncle, Bryan Calhoun; and her cousins, Grant Calhoun, Adam Calhoun, Kali Williams, and Rayne Rankin. Her loving motherly bond with her feline companions, Tyr, Hekate, and Kevin.

Kaitlin was a gifted artist with an extraordinary talent for capturing the beauty of the world around her. Her creativity blossomed in all aspects of her life, whether it was through her beautiful artwork. An enthusiastic player on the volleyball court, she also enjoyed climbing trees, embodying the carefree spirit of youth.

A devoted advocate for her furry friends, Kaitlin spent her time volunteering at Fur All Kitties, where she shared her passion for animal welfare. Her contagious energy was often fueled by Monster Energy drinks, sparking joy and excitement among her peers and friends.

In honor of Kaitlin's life, a celebration of her journey will be held at Readshaw Funeral Home. Viewing will take place on May 31, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM, culminating in a heartfelt funeral service that will allow all to share stories and memories of her radiant spirit.
