Joseph H. "Joe" Sommer&

Age 80, surrounded by his family on Friday, June 21, 2024, of Baldwin. Devoted husband of Carolyn (Osika) Sommer. Loving father of Natalie (Brian) Seery and Angela (Derek) Berger. Pap of Tyler, Amber, Jack, Chloe, and Sam. Son of the late Anthony and Alberta Sommer. Brother of Marlene (Dink) Sontheimer and the late Joanne Sommer. Brother-in-law of Rick (Jan) Sanderson. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitations Thursday 1-8 PM at the Boron Funeral Home, Inc. , 1719 Brownsville Road. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish at St. Albert the Great Church on Friday at 10:30 AM. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET IN CHURCH . Interment in Calvary Cemetery in Port Vue. Joe played on the South Hills Senior Softball League. He loved attending his grandkids sporting events, Steeler games, golfing, bowling, basketball, Kennywood, and spending time with his family on vacation at the beach. Also, Joe retired after 36 years at Harbison Walker Refractories as a customer sales representative. Joe was a basketball and football P.I.A.A. West Penn Official.
