Obituary

John J. Matter, age 96, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday April 7, 2016 of South Park, formerly of Carrick.

Beloved husband of the late Florence (Tomaseski) Matter.

Father of John (Nancy) Matter and David (Susan) Matter,

Beloved grandfather of Heather (James) McBrier, Paul, Tim (Serena) and Sean Matter and Carrie (Joe) Matey.

Great grandfather of Cage and Devin Matter and Alexander and Andrew McBrier.

Brother of the late Margaret "Sis" Lutkus, William and Richard Matter

John was a retired Army Veteran, served in World War II, retired Gimbel's Furniture Truck Driver and member of American Legion Post #725.

Friends received Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Readshaw Funeral Home, Inc. 1503 Brownsville Road, Carrick.

Funeral Prayer Monday at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM St. Basil Church.

Interment Calvary Cemetery.
