Helen Grusch Lauda

Helen Grusch Lauda, formerly of the Knoxville section of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Lehigh Acres, Florida.

Born on July 24, 1942, Helen was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Mary Flaherty Grusch. She was the loving wife of the late Louis Lauda.

Helen was a proud graduate of St. Canice High School, Class of 1960. Helen dedicated her life to her home, family and friends and was especially known for her deep passion for animals. She lovingly rescued and cared for many dogs throughout her life, providing them with a forever home with her.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Grusch (Sylvia) and Michael Grusch (Linda), and her stepdaughter, Lynn Lauda.

Helen is survived by her stepdaughter, Debbie Lauda; her special cousin, Mary Ann Flaherty, and was also a dear cousin to the late Billy Flaherty. She will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews: Barbara Martin, Ed (Jill) Grusch, Kate (Pat) Walsh, and Julie (Mike) Gibson. Helen was also preceded in death by her nephew, Danny Grusch. She leaves behind many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A blessing service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA, on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
