Helen (Wozniak) Forkin, age 98, a longtime resident of Carrick, passed away on Sunday February 21, 2016. Preceded in death by husband Thomas, she is survived by two sons, Thomas (Jackie) Forkin and James (Maryann) Forkin. She has six grandchildren Jenny Forkin, Colleen McGurgan (Robert), Greg Forkin (Kellie), Renee McCarthy (Cormac), Rhonda Martini (Mark) and Dan Forkin and 8 great-grandchildren Jaren, Luke, Collin, Kayla, Matthew, Ryan, Winston and Marina. She was employed by the Bureau of Employment Security on the South Side for many years. Known for her spunky attitude and love of reading and travel, she enjoyed a long fulfilled life. If they play scrabble in heaven, then she is part of the game trying to use words that are not in the scrabble dictionary, but that she swears she saw in a crossword puzzle one time. No Visitations. A mass will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Albert the Great Church in Baldwin.
