Harold R. "Hank" Keener, 75, of Mt. Oliver, PA, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025. He was born on August 23, 1949, in Pittsburgh, PA, to a large and loving family.
Harold was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, having served from April 27, 1971, to April 25, 1975, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1967 and later earned an Associate's Degree from Robert Morris College. Hank dedicated much of his career to being a manager at South Hills True Value Hardware Store, where he was respected and well-liked by both colleagues and customers.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Harold was actively involved in his community. He served on the board of the Mt. Oliver Civil Service Commission and was a devoted board member of Zion Christian Church.
Harold leaves behind a loving family, including his wife of 54 years, Barbara Keener, sons Kevin (Joanne) and Kerry (Stacy), daughters Kimberly (Shana) and Kristi (Nick), and brothers Ray (MariLou), Donald (Janet), Louis (Tammy), Rick (Carol), and David (Chris). He is also survived by his sister, Lois (Peter), and cherished grandchildren Shane (Tori), Ayla, Kyle, Koltin, David (DJ), Landon, Tanner, Jaiella, Killian, Mia, Dom, Ki and the late Ashley, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In accordance with Harold's wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life, details to be announced. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Harold's memory and share stories of his kindness, dedication, and love.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of ones choice in Harold's memory.
He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
