Ernestine Mary Gerlach, age 79, passed peacefully on February 15, 2024. &She was born on August 29, 1944, daughter of the late Ernest and Catherine Novack-Gerlach. She is survived by close family friend John Benoit.

Fondly known as Aunt Suez, by Faith and John II, children of John and the late Sandra Benoit and by Kyleah, Joseph, Lydia, Riley and Eastwood their grandchildren. Aunt Suez always had kind words for all the children and grandchildren and would always talk about them to family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Carrie Evans, grandmother of John and Jack Benoit, father of John both close Gerlach family friends.

Visitation Friday, March 1, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Readshaw Funeral Home, Inc., 1503 Brownsville Road, Carrick.
A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 10 AM, followed by procession and internment at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pleasant Hills, PA.
