Obituary
Emerick "E.J." Barbustiak, age 93 on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 of Carrick.
Husband of the late Teresa K. (Menges) Barbustiak.
Beloved father of Jane (Mike) Skoglund of Davenport, IA, Kathy Barbustiak of Farmington Hills, MI and Mark Barbustiak of Atco, NJ., and several nieces and nephews.
Loving grandfather of Nicole and Chris Browett, Christy and Matt Skoglund.
E.J. served in WWII with Navy Squadron VPB-151 in the Central Pacific, serving in over 60 patrol and bombing missions. Awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and three Air Medals in the campaigns from Tarawa, to Tinian, to Iwo Jima. Also served with VS-25 in the Korean War.
E.J. was the second generation proprietor of Superior Fur Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephan P. and Julia A. (Kozak) Barbustiak, daughter Nancy J. Barbustiak, and sister Andrea J. Moreno-Espada.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Duquesne University School of Business.
