Obituary


Edward Joseph Yeager, age 89, we lost our dear Husband, Father and Grandfather, suddenly on Wednesday,& September 27, 2017 of Carrick, formerly of Baldwin.
Son of the late Gustave and Mathilda (Braller) Yeager.
Beloved husband of Ruth M. (Egler) for 64 years.
Loving father of Karen (Dennis) Kwolek, Edward (Elise), Michael (Kellie) and Keith(Jodie) Yeager.
Cherished grandfather of 11 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Brother of Shirley (the late William) Suzich and Norma Yeager.
Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his sisters Betty (Harry) Domzalski, Lottie (Harry) Wilk, Ruth E. Yeager and his only brother, Gustave F. Yeager Jr. who was lost during a World War II invasion, a War he also served
As a young man Edward was a volunteer fireman for the Baldwin Twp Fire Department located on Becks Run Road where he grew up, served proudly in the U. S. Army as a Private during WW II and was Honorably Discharged on July 23, 1947, worked and retired from J&L Steel Mill on the South side where he completed his career as a Open Hearth Crane Operator.
Family and Friends to be received Saturday and Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the Readshaw Funeral Home, Inc. 1503 Brownsville Road, Carrick, where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10 AM.
Interment will follow in Birmingham Cemetery with full Military Honors.
