Beloved father of Jackie (Jeff) Yee, loving grandfather of Jenna, Jessica, and Jadeyn Yee.
Brother of Joan (Al) Blaise and the late Ann (the late George) Friedel, Mary (the late Don) Zandier, and David (survived by Sharon) Ford.
Before starting his window cleaning business, Dan served in the US Army as a Paratrooper. In his younger days, he enjoyed woodworking, making things such as windmills, lighthouses, and even a backyard playhouse for his daughter and her friends. The thing that Dan enjoyed most in his life was spending time with his daughter and granddaughters. They traveled to many places together such as Alaska, Disney World, California, Montana and many others. His daughter always came first in his life. After a long day at work and every weekend he would pick up all her friends to go to different fun places - movies, ice skating, roller skating, the mall, restaurants, wherever they wanted to go. He would often sit for hours watching his daughter having fun with her friends. He even taught some of her friends to roller skate and how to ride a bike. To this day, those friends remember him fondly as a loving father figure in their lives as well.
These last few years my dad called me his Angel, but he was the real Angel my entire life. There was never a time that he wasn't there for me and there was nothing that he wouldn't do for me.
Family and friends received Monday, July 10th 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Readshaw Funeral Home, Inc. 1503 Brownsville Road, Carrick.
Funeral Prayer Tuesday, July 11th at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church, 5200 Greenridge Dr. Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
