Dale A. Byers, age 78, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024, in Baldwin Borough, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on March 9, 1946, in Pittsburgh, Dale lived a full and vibrant life, marked by his unwavering spirit and his infectious love for the simple pleasures in life.
Dale was the beloved husband of Pamela (Giles) Byers, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage filled with adventure, laughter, and mutual respect. Together, they navigated the waters of life, often quite literally, as they enjoyed kayaking and exploring the natural beauty around them. He was a devoted father to his son, Jason Byers, of NYC, whom he introduced to the world of film, nurturing his creativity and passion. Dale was predeceased by his sister, Kerin Byers, whose memory remained a cherished part of his life.
Professionally, Dale excelled in a career in sales, where his charismatic personality and genuine interest in people earned his respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike. His involvement in various associations throughout his career reflected his commitment to his profession and his desire to make meaningful connections.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Dale was a man of many interests. He was an avid fisherman, finding solace and joy in the tranquility of the sport. Dale's artistic side flourished through his paintings with watercolors, where he captured the essence of the landscapes and wildlife he so loved. His passion for nature was evident to all who knew him, particularly in his dedication to wildlife conservation and the special bond he shared with his beloved dogs, Monkey and Ben.
Dale was also a dedicated hockey dad, supporting his son Jason through every practice and game, cheering from the stands, and providing encouragement and love, no matter the outcome on the ice. His presence at the rink was a constant source of support and pride for his family.
His zest for life and his kindness towards others left an indelible mark on everyone he met. Dale's legacy is one of love, commitment to family, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around him. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In keeping with Dale's wishes there will no visitation. &A celebration of life will be held at a later date. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and in the countless lives he touched with his warmth, generosity, and spirit. Dale was a remarkable man whose light shone brightly during his time on earth, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know him.
