Catherine (Kenny) Lewis passed away unexpectedly on May 11th, 2021. Born in Peters Township to the late Richard and Anna Mary (Belin) Kenny, she resided in her cherished Wigman House in Carrick until her death.&

Catherine is remembered as beloved wife to George E. Lewis, mother to Andrew (Laura) Lewis and Shannon (Grant) Moss, enthusiastic grandmother to Gabrielle and Thaddeus, sister to Richard (Katie) Kenny, Dorothy (Mike) Gilbert, Brian (Brenda) Kenny, Susan (Kevin) McCauley, and the late Patrick (Deborah) Kenny; cousin, aunt, and great aunt many times over; best friend to Karen (John) Holman; and perpetual treatgiver and carer to dogs Socks and Seven.

Catherine cherished her family above all. For her family, she was the glue that pulled everyone together organizing multiple family reunions and enjoying a home full of family from near and far as often as she could manage. Many happy memories were made and many old stories were told — and embellished — around the dining room table at every gathering. All will surely remember her eagerness to join in the storytelling and laughter.

Friends and family alike defined her by her kindness, wit, and ingenuity. For those she worked with at Houston Harbaugh she will likely be remembered not for her time training or troubleshooting IT issues; but as Susie Homemaker celebrating the good and consoling the hard.

Catherine left this world brighter through the gift of her artistry. It seemed there wasn't a craft she had not tried and mastered to some degree. Illustration, stained glass, ceramics, papercraft, cross stitch, knitting — the list seems truly endless. Many are lucky to hold some unique piece crafted especially for them by Catherine.

Services for Catherine will be held at Readshaw Funeral Home (1503 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15210) on May 15th from 11 AM until service at 3:30 PM.
