On Tuesday, March 22, 2016, Bernadette "Bernie" M. Bollman, age 65, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully. Loving and adoring wife of the late Jack C. Bollman; Beloved mother and friend of daughter Sarah Beth Casto (TJ) and stepdaughter Elisa Wallace (Drew); Proud grandmother of Nathan Wallace. Bernie was the daughter of the late Stanley and Lois Kosiba and grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. She loved her garden, summertime, sunshine and the ocean. She dedicated her life to volunteering and making the world a brighter place. She was a cherished friend to all who knew her and was known as "Mama Bear" to many. Bernie touched the lives of many people throughout her life and will always be remembered for her selflessness, her kind soul, and her loving heart. Friends and family are welcome on Saturday 6-9 p.m., with Funeral Service at 8 p.m. at READSHAW FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1503 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15210, (412) 882-3850. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to The Salvation Army, who helped Bernadette's husband in his time of need.
