Albert M. "Al" Rakoczy

passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, at the age of 75, of Pittsburgh, PA, Loving Husband of the late Jacqueline Kunkler and Janet Salley. Special Friend to Jean Toth. Father of Megan (Terry) Kraus and Timothy (Amanda) Rakoczy, Appa of Salley Rakoczy and Jacqueline Rakoczy. Brother of the late Augie and Jimmy Rakoczy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Albert was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1967 and continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh, earning his bachelor's degree in 1971.

Albert devoted his career to the retail industry, where he exemplified hard work and leadership. He was well-respected by colleagues and customers alike. Beyond his professional contributions, Albert was an avid sports fan who found joy in cheering for his favorite teams. He also carried a passion for travel, often exploring new places and creating cherished memories with family and friends.

A public viewing will be held at Boron Funeral Home, Inc. 1719 Brownsville Road on Wednesday from 4 - 8 PM. Funeral Prayers on Thursday at 9:45 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, Holy Angels Church at 10:30 AM. He will be laid to rest at St. John Vianney Cemetery on Brownsville Road in Pittsburgh, PA.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial contributions to the National Kidney Foundation.
