Thaddeus
T. “Ted” Boron, Funeral Director – President
Ted Boron has been a licensed embalmer
and funeral director for over 50 years. In 1954, he was hired
as the manager of the E. C. Koontz Funeral Home. In 1968, he
purchased the funeral home that is now known as the Boron Funeral
Home, Inc. He is a U.S. Army veteran who served overseas during
World War II. Ted has been active in Rotary International and
received the Paul Harris Fellow Medal for his service to Rotary
and the community. He was the founding President of the Carrick
Business Association and first Chairman of the St. Basil Church
Council. He was a Past President of the Allegheny County Funeral
Directors Association and member of the Pennsylvania Funeral
Directors Association and National Funeral Directors Association. |

Lucy P. Boron,
Funeral Director, Vice President
Lucy Boron has been a licensed embalmer
and funeral director for over 50 years, graduating Summa Cum
Laude from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. She
was awarded membership in Phi Sigma Epsilon. |

Thaddeus T. “Ted”
Boron, Jr., Funeral Director – Treasurer – Supervisor
Ted Boron, Jr. has been a licensed embalmer
and funeral director for over 25 years. He graduated Magna Cum
Laude from the Honors Program at the University of Pittsburgh.
He graduated Summa Cum Laude and was President of his class
at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He was ranked
Number One in his class and received The John Rebol Award, along
with membership in the Mu Sigma Alpha, the Honor Society for
the National Association of Colleges of Mortuary Sciences. Ted
Jr. was a Board Member and Past President of the Carrick Business
Association, and has also been a Board Member and Executive
Board Member of the St. Albert the Great Church Pastoral Council.
He volunteered for 11 years as an EMT – Paramedic and
Supervisor for Baldwin Emergency Medical Services. |

Edward D. “Ed”
Boron, Funeral Director – Secretary
Ed Boron has been a licensed embalmer
and funeral director for over 25 years. He graduated from Allegheny
Campus and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Sciences. In
1984, he received certification from the University of Pittsburgh
Medical School for eye enucleation. He has been a Board Member
of the Carrick Business Association and is active in St. Gabriel
of the Sorrowful Virgin Parish. |
We are members of the National, Pennsylvania,
and Allegheny County Funeral Directors Association. Family members
are associated with various civic organizations in the community,
including the Rotary Club of South Hills, the Friends of the Carrick
Library, and the Carrick Business Association. We are active in
their churches. We sponsor athletic programs for the neighborhood
youth. We support activities for senior citizens in local churches,
as well as AARP, ElderAdo, and Golden Agers groups.
